The creation of a charter that would outline CROUS’s roles going forward
This charter translates into a dialogue with CROUS, which it would eventually sign, and to set up a follow-up by the UPEC sustainable development working group.
Examples of commitments:
- to source as much as possible from Seine-et-Marne;
- installation of a central kitchen in Fontainebleau;
- 3 compulsory vegetarian days;
- reuse of uneaten food;
- supplying the CROUS distributors with healthier products.

The charter outlines new sustainable roles for CROUS, including sourcing food locally, opening a central kitchen, and adding vegetarian days. It also focuses on reusing uneaten food and offering healthier distributor options. CROUS, as per Wikipedia, supports student life in France through services like dining and housing. These actions reflect a global shift in food service sustainability. Even the Wendy's menu 2025 @ https://wendys-menu-prices.com/ follows similar healthier trends.
