I’ve noticed centipedegrass is everywhere around Wilmington. It seems to handle our warm coastal climate pretty well, but timing mowing and fertilizing still makes a big difference. I came across this local lawn care resource and thought it was worth sharing: https://wilmingtongreenlawncare.com/

Centipedegrass seems like a great choice for Wilmington’s warm coastal climate. The key is getting the mowing timing right so the lawn stays healthy and thick without stressing the grass. Mowing too short or too frequently can cause problems, especially during hot or dry periods. Regular mowing at the recommended height and avoiding cutting too much at once can make a big difference in keeping the lawn looking green and well maintained. https://www.epass.com.co
