Is ISO certification worthwhile for a small hospital or outpatient clinic?

Avatar: Ellie Mitchell Ellie Mitchell

Our healthcare facility is considering ISO certification to improve quality and patient experience. Most information I find focuses on large hospitals, so I'd like to hear from smaller hospitals, clinics, or labs. Did ISO certification improve workflows, communication, patient satisfaction, or compliance? How challenging was implementation, and did staff see it as beneficial or just extra paperwork? Was the investment worth it in the long run?
