Charter of Equality
#pasdesexisme égalité Let's build a more egalitarian university together
About this process
We are building a university without sexism, without homophobia, without transphobia.
The Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP) at the Université Paris-Est Créteil has just been established and will welcome its first students next semester. Between 700 and 900 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students will attend it daily. We want to reflect and co-create with M1 students a charter and a campaign against sexism, inequalities, and gender-based violence.
During the first lockdown, 138 students in second years of master’s degree in political science at UPEC deliberated on gender inequalities at the university and co-created a gender equality charter for the new Institut d’Etudes Politiques that opened in September 2020. The process, facilitated by the use of the Decidim deliberation platform, involved 138 M2 students in political science and administration as part of a Civic Tech course. Its aim was to collectively build an impeccable environment for the well-being of everyone.
The torch is passed on to the new cohorts of 2020-2021.
There are 114 students in the first year of the master's degree program in the Media, Representation, and Politics course.
