At what point do symptoms become something a psychiatrist should evaluate?

Avatar: Ellie Mitchell Ellie Mitchell

I've been experiencing periods of anxiety, poor sleep, difficulty concentrating, and low mood that sometimes make daily tasks harder than they should be. I'm unsure whether these are normal stress responses or signs that I should consult a psychiatrist. What symptoms or situations led you to seek psychiatric help? I'd appreciate hearing real experiences and how you knew it was time to get a professional evaluation.
