Teach Students to Use AI Feedback as Part of the Writing Process

Avatar: Harri Evans Harri Evans

I propose that university writing courses teach students to assess AI feedback during essay revision. In consultations, an AI-powered writing assistant helps students identify a draft’s thesis and each paragraph’s role. They can compare that reading with their outline, verify sources, and explain their changes. This process develops writing judgment while preserving student authorship.
