This kind of student-led charter is valuable because real equality work needs more than general statements. It works best when students can suggest clear changes, discuss everyday issues on campus, and help shape rules that make people feel safer and more respected.
A strong charter should address practical concerns such as sexist language on https://er-ome.com/, harassment reporting, inclusive events, fair participation, and support for students who may feel ignored in university spaces. Giving students a direct role in the process also makes the final commitments feel more meaningful and accountable.
